The band are delighted to have retained 4th position in the World Pipe Band Championships on Saturday 18th August in what has said to have been of an exceptionally high standard of competition.
Over 30,000 spectators came to cheer on their favourite bands, some 214 in all, from across the world that braved the cold and damp of Glasgow Green.
ScottishPower continued with their consistency this season by producing some excellent performances over the two days which saw the band come second overall in the Medley Final (having won the qualifying Medley heat the day before) and tie overall on points with St Laurence O'Toole Pipe Band from Dublin who took 3rd place on a March, Strathspey & Reel preference.
The March, Strathspey & Reel played in the final was:
Kantara El Arish
The Islay Ball
John Morrison of Assynt House
The Medley played in the final was the 'Mary Macleod' set:
March - The Rattagan Ridge
Jigs - Slainte Do Mhabu & The Boys of the Town
Slow Air - Lament for Mary Macleod
Strathspeys - Duncan Lamont & The Guards Recital Series
Reels - Hanter Dro & Golden Brown
All performances were 'live streamed' over the internet by the BBC and can still be viewed by clicking below.
