ScottishPower Pipe Band competed at the second major of season 2009 at the British Championships held on Saturday 27th June in Banbridge Northern Ireland. The band was on 10th, and drew its number two medley set.
The band was very happy with their performance and this was reflected in the results with a 5th place overall. The Grade one results were as follows:
1st: Field Marshall Montgomery
2nd: House of Edgar Shotts and Dykehead
3rd: St Laurence O’Toole
4th: Strathclyde Police
5th: ScottishPower
6th: Boghall and Bathgate Caledonia
ScottishPower Pipe Band are now preparing for the European Championships, which will take place in Greenock on Saturday 25th July, 2009.
