Another glorious day of sunshine in Forres on 27th June saw the band turn a major corner with their overall results.
4th place in the European Championships was a much needed lift and reward for the hard work and effort that had gone in to change their unsettled start to the season.
99 bands in all competed on the day at Grant Park in this quaint Moray town. The town may be small but the organisation of this contest is second to none. The band always enjoys making the trip north to compete here as it is so well run.
It was the March, Strathspey & Reel discipline for the Grade 1 bands and they played the set Edinburgh City Police Pipe Band, Blair Drummond & John Morrison of Assynt House.
A 2nd place in Piping helped secure the result on the day and the band is closely getting back to the standard of performance expected of them.
Congratulations to the winners Field Marshal Montgomery on their win and impressive run of results this season so far! The full breakdown of all contests can be seen on the RSPBA results page.
